Abstract Based on the inducement-contribution framework,the content dimensions of employment relationships with Chinese sci-tech talents is identified . Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis indicated that : (1) both provided inducements and expected contributions of sci-tech talents were multidimensional concepts;(2) provided inducements consisted of respect,personal growth and material rewards while expected contributions consisted of professional qualities,organizational identification and spirit of dedication . Compared with other studies using other employee' s groups,the dimensions found in this study have many similarities and differences . Furthermore,this study found that the majority of enterprises used two balanced approaches (job-oriented and organization-oriented) . However,approximately one eighth enterprises used two unbalanced approaches (overinvestment and underinvestment ) respectively .
