Abstract The co-existence of gender discrimination in employment and gender bias in human capital investment in the labor market not only results in difficult situations faced by female labor force but also exerts a negative effect on the efficiency and welfare of the market and the society as a whole . There is a lot of literature on gender discrimination in employment and gender bias in human capital investment , but research about the relationship and interaction between the two is scarce . This paper analyses the harm of their reverse incentives . The exclusion of females from the primary labor market and insufficient human capital investment in females will hinder social advancement and economic growth in the long run .
