Abstract:As a concept which describes the value-creation process of enterprises , e-business model becomes a hot topic among researchers with the development of world-wide e-business . However ,researchers have developed various theoretical viewpoints , which makes it difficult to build a unified framework of e-business model .By carrying out content analysis of articles with the term″e-business model″in their title or abstract in the CNKI Chinese journal database , we find that the most popular definition reflects thevalue-creation natureof business model ,and that domestic definitions about e-business model favor operation and technical implementation over a global three-dimensional model definition from economic , strategic and operational perspectives . However ,trend analysis shows that the proportion of strategy-oriented definitions is going up , especially in recent years , whereas that of operation-oriented definitions is declining . This is an indication that a strategic client/value-oriented perspective will be the trend in future e-business model definitions .
